Recombinant Proteins
Recombinant Prostaglandin E Synthase, Microsomal (PTGES)
Product Description
Recombinant Prostaglandin E Synthase, Microsomal (PTGES), expressed in Escherichia coli (E. coli) and purified by standard chromatographic techniques.
Scientific Background
Membrane-associated prostaglandin E synthase (PTGES) known to catalyzes the conversion of prostaglandin H2 to prostaglandin E2. Proteolysis within the cell generates a truncated soluble form beginning with amino acid 88 that resides in the cytosol.
