Recombinant Proteins
Recombinant Human Procollagen III N Terminal Propeptide (PIIINP)
Product Description
Recombinant Human Procollagen III N-Terminal Propeptide (PIIINP), expressed in Escherichia coli (E. coli) and purified by standard chromatographic techniques.
Scientific Background
Procollagen type III N-terminal peptide (PIIINP) is released during collagen synthesis in muscle. Increased circulating PIIINP is a marker not only of muscle growth, but also of muscle repair and fibrosis. Thus, PIIINP may be a potential biomarker for sarcopenia.
